02 · Efficacy

Detection runs on the server, not the player's PC

Plenty of anti-cheats run on the player's own computer. The problem: a determined cheater can tamper with the very software meant to catch them. BlackGuard watches from the server instead — the place the player can't touch. Their machine doesn't get a vote in whether it gets caught.

How it works

Detection-relevant values like movement speed are computed server-side from authoritative data — distance ÷ time — instead of being trusted from the client. Because the player can't set the fields used to judge them, the usual bypasses (memory edits, hooking the anti-cheat, spoofed telemetry) have nothing to attack.

03 · Safety

Built to flag, not to false-ban

Nothing burns trust faster than banning your real players by mistake. So BlackGuard only auto-bans when something is genuinely impossible in the game — like moving faster than the game physically allows. Anything merely suspicious gets flagged for you to review, not automatically punished.

How it works

Every event is sorted into clear-cheat, clear-clean, or uncertain. Only physically-impossible behavior is auto-banned; uncertain signals go to a review queue and are never auto-actioned. Sensitivity is tunable per server type — RP, PvP, or default — so thresholds fit how your server actually plays.

Every action is checked against the laws of the game world — how fast a player can move, how much damage is physically possible, whether a teleport could have happened. If something is physically impossible, it is caught the instant it happens. This layer runs live on your server and auto-actions on clear violations.

It learns what normal play looks like, then watches for players who don't fit — the subtle edges that fixed rules miss. Anything suspicious is surfaced for your team to review, never auto-banned on its own. Results are flagged in the panel for a human to confirm.
